Hello, Welcome to my first announcement!
Hi everybody,
so I'm new to this whole blog thing......I've contributed in my friends blog which is absolutely brilliant (www.bexperimental.com) everyone should check it out.
Anyways I'm starting Liverpool John Moores University in the next few weeks and I have been given my first assignment. The title of which is Juxtaposition, I've been researching this so far and have found out that it's the contrast of two opposing ideas, of which the whole underwear as outerwear phenomenon could be described as.....I think I have found my basis for discussion, the mixing of different fabrics, textures and contrasting colours jump out at me, followed by the purpose and usage of clothing. All clothing is purpose built whether it is to make a statement or for practical use, for example the use of a bra is to hold ones bust in a secure position and retain some dignity, but by placing a bra as outerwear it has given it a whole new statement to say, 'look at me, I'm sexy, I have given a new meaning to the bra and it shouldn't be hidden under clothing it should be celebrated!'
